And, due to this, we face a lot of problems while searching for an email in our Gmail Account. Let us see that how can we search our Gmail Account in a better and faster way.
Suppose, I need to search an email which my boss sent me. The best way to get all the emails sent by my boss to me is by using the from: search operator. There is a search box at the top of our Gmail account page. Type from:email address of the person who sent you the email. For example, If I need to retrieve all the emails or search for an email which my boss sent to me, the I will type the following text in the search box:
This will list all the emails which I have received from firstname.lastname@example.org
Suppose, you want to search for an email which was sent to you by either person A or person B. Then, in such cases, you can use the OR search operator along with the from search operator.
from:personA@gmail.com OR personB@gmail.com
This will list all the emails which I have received from person A and person B.
Similarly, we have to search operator.
This will list all the emails which I have sent to person A.
I might have sent several emails to person A. But, I need to find the email where I used “training” as subject, then I will use the subject search operator along with the to search operator.
This will list all the emails which I have sent to person A and have the word “training” in the subject line.
There are several other operators which makes the Gmail Account Search faster and easier:
- has:attachment search operator- Searches for the emails having an attachment- Example: from:personA@gmail.com has:attachment

- newer_than and older_than search operators- from:personA@gmail.com newer_than:4dThis lists all the emails which I have received from person A in the last 4 days only.
